Terms & Conditions

1. Agreement to Terms.

By registering for and participating in EternaRun (hereafter “the Event”) or using the Event website, you (“you”/“participant”) agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions, the Privacy Policy, and any other rules posted on the website or communicated by the Organiser.

2. Organiser and Event.

The Event is organised by [INSERT ORGANISER NAME] (hereafter “the Organiser”). The website, registration portal and Event communications are managed by the Organiser (or its authorised agents).

3. Registration and Eligibility.

Choose your event category carefully (e.g., 5 km fun run, 10 km run, half-marathon, etc.). Once your registration is confirmed you cannot transfer to another category or transfer your registration to someone else unless explicitly permitted by the Organiser.

Minimum age eligibility (for example):

5 km walk/fun run: 10 years (born on or before [DATE])

10 km run: 14 years (born on or before [DATE])

Half-marathon (21.1 km): 16 years (born on or before [DATE])

Adjust per your event.

By registering you declare that the information you provide is true, accurate, current and complete, and you will keep it so.

You may be required to produce proof of age / identity / medical fitness on bib collection or race-day.

4. Health & Safety / Voluntary Participation.

Health & Safety / Voluntary Participation.    You acknowledge that participation in a running event involves risk of bodily injury or death from various causes including: falls, contact with other participants, effects of weather (heat, humidity), traffic, road conditions, terrorism, pandemics, and other risks.

You participate voluntarily in the Event and assume all such risks. You do not hold the Organiser liable for injury, loss or damage you might incur through participation.

It is recommended that you undergo a medical examination and obtain the advice of a physician prior to registration / participation.

You agree to comply with all instructions issued by the Organiser, medical personnel, marshals, volunteers and other officials. If you are told to stop running for any reason (e.g., by the medical team), you agree to obey.

5. Registration Fee and Charitable Cause (if applicable).

If the registration fee is for a charitable cause, participants are notified accordingly, and contributions may be eligible for tax deduction under applicable laws (if/where applicable).

The registration fee covers entry to the Event; the fee does not guarantee any specific finishing time, placing, prize, service beyond what is advertised.

6. Cancellation / Modification by Organiser.

The Organiser reserves the right to modify, postpone, cancel or stop the Event (or any category) for reasons including (but not limited to) force majeure, pandemic, weather conditions, government / police intervention, road closures, safety concerns or insufficient registrations.

If the Organiser cancels or modifies the Event, the Organiser’s liability is limited to those terms described in the Refund Policy (see below). The Organiser is not liable for any other associated costs (travel/accommodation) incurred by you.

7. Non-transferable / Non-modifiable.

Registrations are in general non-transferable, non-refundable, and cannot be modified (category, name, bib number, timing chip, etc.) unless explicitly permitted in writing by the Organiser.

In the event the Organiser rejects an application, the registration fee may be refunded (see Refund Policy) less any administrative / bank charges.

8. Use of Images, Media & Personal Data.

The Organiser retains all rights in relation to images, photographs, race records, course maps, location/venue information, whether commissioned or submitted by participants, and may use these for promotional, broadcast, press, internet, upcoming-edition purposes.

By registering, you consent to your name, image, voice, performance, likeness being used by the Organiser for promotional/marketing purpose without payment or further consent.

You acknowledge that your personal data may be stored, used and processed by the Organiser (or its agents) for administration, promotion, event-management and statistical purposes, and you consent to such use in accordance with the Organiser’s Privacy Policy.

9. Behaviour, Dress Code & Prohibited Activities.

You agree not to use the Event or your participation to promote political or religious propaganda, commercial messaging (unless authorised), or to advertise individuals/organisations not recognised by the Organiser.

You shall wear appropriate clothing/gear. Inappropriate clothing (dangerous or offensive) may result in disqualification.

You agree to respect other participants, event staff, route signage, and equipment. Disruptive behaviour may lead to removal from the Event.

10. Timing, Results & Disqualification. 

The Organiser will publish the cut-off times for each category; participants not completing within the cut-off may not receive finishing credentials or may be removed from course.

The Organiser may disqualify or remove any participant who fails to comply with rules, or whose timing chip is missing/damaged, or who uses unauthorized vehicles or shortcuts, or for any safety / integrity reasons.
 

11. Limitation of Liability.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Organiser and its agents shall not be liable in contract, tort (including negligence), or otherwise for any loss, damage, injury, death, costs or expenses you may incur as a result of your participation in the Event, except for any liability that cannot be excluded as a matter of law.

12. Governing Law & Jurisdiction.

These Terms are governed by the laws of [INDIAN STATE/CITY] and any dispute arising shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in [CITY/STATE].

13. Amendments.

The Organiser reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time. The version published on the website (or at registration) shall prevail. Participants are advised to regularly review them.
